This monthly product update
keeps sales representatives up to date on the latest products and
promotions. Typically, this document would be distributed by printing it
out each month and sending it through the mail. A much more time and
cost-effective method would be to be to save it as a Web page and post it
to a company intranet.
6. On the File menu click, Save
as Web Page.
7. On the Places Bar
on the left-hand
side, click Web Folders.
A Web Folder is a shortcut to
a Web server, allowing you to save directly to an intranet or on the
Internet. You will need to create a Web folder to your workgroup Web
before you can publish to it. There are several way to do this:
Once
you have created a Web Folder, you are ready to publish to your workgroup
Web. When you save a file to the Documents area of this Web site, a link
will be automatically created, creating a path from the Document Library
to your page.
8.
Double-click the Web Folder that points to
this workgroup Web site.
9.
Open the Documents
directory.
10. Locate the project or department where you
want to save your file. Open that directory and click Save.
11. Browse to the Documents section of this
Workgroup Web in Internet Explorer and locate the project or department
where you normally save your files.
12. You should see a list of all the files in
that directory, including the file you just added. Click on the file name
to open that file in Internet Explorer.
